Governance Structure.
SHRG’s governance structure combines broad policy oversight with specialised executive guidance and community-based participation.
- Board of Governors: provides broad policy direction and long-term institutional stewardship.
- Executive Board: develops specific policies within particular areas of expertise.
- Director: oversees the day-to-day work of the organisation and leads its public and international engagement.
- Members: individuals who have worked with SHRG for at least three years on a project or in administration and who can vote in their area of interest.
- Volunteer Members: individuals who contribute to specific projects or fields of work without remuneration.
- Supporting Members: individuals and institutions who provide financial or occasional support.
- Affiliates: autonomous organisations that share similar interests and coordinate or network aspects of their work with SHRG.
- Staff: paid staff working under the Director.
